Privacy Notice

This notice explains how the Operator handles personal data on World Map Board. Russian users should read the separate Russian Personal Data Policy.

Data we handle

• Public Placement data: title, description, image, website, coordinates, radius and publication time. It may include personal data only if you choose to include it.
• Transaction data: random browser ID, order and provider IDs, status, amount, currency, timestamps and, for Lava checkout, email. We do not receive full card numbers or security codes.
• Technical and security data: request metadata, approximate country supplied by hosting infrastructure, rate-limit events, webhook and moderation records.
• Messages you send to support, including contact details and the contents of the request.

Purposes and legal bases

We use data to provide and publish Placements, perform contracts, process and reconcile payments, prevent fraud and abuse, moderate content, secure and maintain the service, comply with law, establish legal claims and answer requests. Depending on applicable law, the bases are contract, legal obligation, legitimate interests and consent where specifically requested.

Public content

Placement content is intentionally public and may be viewed, copied or indexed by others. Do not publish private or third-party personal data without authority. Removal from our map cannot remove copies already made by independent third parties.

Recipients and international transfers

Data may be handled by hosting and storage providers, map-tile providers when your browser requests map resources, payment providers (Whop or Lava), professional advisers and authorities where legally required. Providers may process data in other countries using contractual or other legally recognized safeguards where required.

Retention

• Published Placements: while published and for a reasonable backup period after removal.
• Orders, payment and tax records: for the period required by accounting, tax, fraud-prevention and dispute laws.
• Incomplete checkout records and routine security logs: only as long as reasonably needed for troubleshooting, fraud prevention and legal claims.
• Support requests: until resolved and for a reasonable claims period.

Data is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed, unless preservation is required by law or an active dispute.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection; withdraw consent prospectively; and complain to a supervisory authority. We may verify identity and retain data where law permits or requires. California residents may also request information about collection, disclosure and deletion; we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Security and children

We use proportionate access, transport, storage and operational safeguards, but no online service is risk-free. The service is for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18.
